Teen actress Julia Barretto shrugged off reports of a brewing rivalry between her and fellow young actress Kathryn Bernardo.
"Hindi naman po ako [naapektuhan sa pagkukumpara]. Hindi 'yun ang focus ko right now at sobrang magkaiba kami. Hindi ko masyado pini-pay ng attention 'yung pagko-compare sa kanya or sa other actresses na ka-age ko," Barretto told reporters in an interview.
"Mas maraming bagay na kailangang bigyan ng pansin kaysa sa (pagkumpara)," she added.
In an interview with "The Buzz," Bernardo also shrugged off the comparisons, saying it’s just inevitable that people will compare them since they are almost of the same age.
Bernardo also said she's happy that Barretto is now set to headline her first television series.
Barretto is now gearing for ABS-CBN's TV adaptation of the movie classic "Cofradia," while Bernardo is doing the romantic-comedy series "Got To Believe" with Daniel Padilla.
